Frances Enders, age 98, of Plover, WI passed away peacefully at Whispering Pines Assisted Living surrounded by family on Sunday April 12, 2015.
She was born January 8, 1917, in Brooklyn, NY to Phillip and Rose (Campagna) Quartararo.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Baublit (Stevens Point); sisters, Mildred Carfora and Josephine Quartararo of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Jessica Myers of Pike Road, AL, Sarah Carriger of Madison, WI, Stephen Carriger of Milwaukee, WI, and Jeremy Baublit of Stevens Point, WI; and four great-grandchildren, Deven, Keller, Alexander and Savanna.
During the 1940’s Frances worked at Sperry Gyroscope Company inspecting Gyro-compasses for war planes. While there, she met her husband, Stephen Enders; and they were married on March 28, 1948.
Fran was a seamstress and business owner of Francine Bridal Veils in New York until the birth of her daughter; when she moved to upstate New York. Frances lived in the Catskill Mt area of New York until moving to Bethany Village Senior Assisted Living Community in Honesdale, PA in 2001. In 2007 she moved to Stevens Point, WI to be closer to her only child.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stephen Enders; brother, Phillip Quartararo Jr.; sister, Annette Quartararo; and twin sister, Ann Martin.
Frances will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was known for her larger than life personality that could light up a room. She enjoyed fashion, sewing and had a love of animals.
A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM at Boston Funeral Home, in Stevens Point, WI. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
