Cleo M. Wolosek, 75 of Plover died early Sunday morning April 12, 2015 at home with her loving family at her side while under the care of Ministry-Hospice following a one year courageous battle with leukemia.
Cleo was born July 25, 1939 in Plover. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Agnes (Tomaszewski) Porter. She attended local grade schools in Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1957.
She married Dean R. Lloyd in 1958, the couple later divorced. She then married Lawrence “Larry” Wolosek on November 12, 1986 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Plover. Her husband Larry survives.
Cleo worked for Okray Family farms for over 28 years retiring in 1999. Cleo love taking trips to Florida and also camping. She enjoyed her special mother and daughter’s only trips trying their luck at the Casino’s and playing the lottery especially scratch off tickets. She also loved the challenge of a good cross word puzzle and enjoyed playing cards.
In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name will be established at later date.
Survivors include her husband Larry of Plover, her six children James (Patti) Lloyd of Kellner, Judy (Mike) Kingston of Plover, Debbie (Glen) Slowinski of Stevens Point, Don (Sharon) Lloyd of Plover, Wayne Lloyd (special friend Jane) and Brenda (Kurt) Adamski both of Stevens Point. Her 18 grandchildren; Jessica (Jeff), Calin, Kelsey, Quinn, Chad, Scott (Erica), Jennifer (Tom), Travis, Kaylie, Jake, Tyler, Torrey, Olivia, Justin (Alyssa), Amber (Dylan), Brittany, Karmen and Krystal. Eight great-grandchildren; Kyle, Clay, Cameron, Micah, Owen, Oliver, Jack and James. Two stepchildren; Laurie (Dan) Kawlewski of Bancroft and Larry (Patti) Wolosek of Stevens Point. Five step grandchildren; Eric (Terry), Kelly (Kevin) Larry (Ashlee) Kristina and Lisa. Four Step Great Grandchildren; Hailey, Carson, Jersee and Ramsee. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Kala Marie Adamski.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday April 16, 2015 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover, and from 9:30 A.M. Thursday morning at St. Bronislava Church until the time for mass.
