The Stevens Point School District now has an interim superintendent for the 2015-16 school year.
The school board hired Dr. Lee Bush from Brookings, Oregon, where he has served as interim superintendent since 2014. Prior to that, Bush also worked in Osseo-Fairchild, Wisconsin and Cape Coral, Florida.
Bush will be the paid the same salary- about $150,000- as a full-time superintendent.
Outgoing Board President Angel Faxon said Bush was “not interested” in applying for regular, full-time spot in the district.
“He has a lot of experience as a superintendent and a lot of experience as an interim who helps heal,” Faxon said.
