Harassment: Police were called to a home on the 200 block of Prentice St. at 9:06 AM when a 46 year-old man reported someone had been soliciting his 75 year-old mother for money.
Theft: A 23 year-old man called police at 9:30 AM to report an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle on the 1900 block of College Avenue and stole a white iPod charger and 6 inch buck knife.
Theft: A 21 year-old woman reported several items were stolen from her vehicle as it was parked on the 2800 block of Indiana Avenue. Some of the items taken include brown and gray purse containing $70 cash, several debit/credit cards, a social security card and a Garmin brand portable GPS.
Crash: Police responded to Rhody’s, 2301 Church St., after a 72 year-old woman damaged a privacy fence on the property. The woman told police she had mistakenly pushed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal.
Shoplifting: A 24 year-old man was cited after he was caught stealing a pair of Foster Grant sunglasses from Shopko on Main Street at 11:43 AM. The value of the sunglasses was $19.99.
Ex-Wife Harassing New Girlfriend: A 40 year-old woman called police at 3:20 PM to report her boyfriend’s 47 year-old ex-wife was harassing her via Facebook.
Drug Bust at Traffic Stop: Two women, ages 35 and 47, were arrested following a traffic stop on Northpoint Drive at 7:50 PM. Police initially pulled over the 47 year-old driver for violating a yellow signal and operating after suspension, but found both women to be in the possession of narcotics. Police seized syringes, metal burning caps containing unknown residue, pill fragments, empty pill capsules, small pieces of cotton and a CVS prescription container. Officers also found several syringes being carried inside an Andy Capp’s Cheddar Fries bag. The women face charges including resisting an officer, possession, intent to deliver and probation violation.
Bike Theft: A 19 year-old woman reported her bike had been stolen by a 14 year-old girl from a home on the 1600 block of West River Drive at 7:30 PM. The bike was described as a Next Gear brand, green and silver with pegs.
Assault: Police responded to Point Motel, 209 Division St., when a 42 year-old man reported being assaulted by an unknown person at 9:10 PM.
Suspicious: A 33 year-old woman staying at Point Motel, 209 Division St., called police at 10:31 PM to report a 44 year-old man unknown to her came to her hotel room for an unknown reason.
Assault: A 41 year-old man was arrested following an assault/battery at Final Score, 908 Maria Dr., at 3:08 AM. According to police documents the man is suspected of throwing a bar glass at a 25 year-old man while outside the bar, striking him.
Flower Thief: A 52 year-old woman called police to report an unknown person had taken what was described as a “green leafy plant” from her flower bed without permission at 7:21 AM.
Hit & Run: A 39 year-old woman reported her vehicle was struck by another car at 1:50 PM, but the other driver did not stop. The incident took place on the 3000 block of Rice Street.
Kool-Aid Thief: A 13 year-old boy was cited for stealing a liquid pack of tropical punch flavored Kool-Aid from Shopko on Main St. at 4:45 PM. The item was valued at $3.99.
Passed-Out Driver: Police found a 22 year-old man passed out behind the wheel near Hoover Ave. and Industrial Park Dr. at 5:34 PM. The man was subsequently arrested for operating while under the influence.
