The artwork of graduating students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will be on display both on campus and in the community.
Several bachelor of fine arts senior exhibitions will be held at UW-Stevens Point’s Edna Carlsten Gallery through Sunday, May 17. Artist receptions will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2-4 PM; Thursday, May 8, 5-7 PM; and Friday, May 15, 6-8 PM.
The gallery is located on the second floor of the Noel Fine Arts Center. It is open to the public free of charge Monday–Friday from 10 AM-4 PM, Thursday from 7-9 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 PM.
Another group of students will exhibit at the Scarabocchio Art Museum in downtown Stevens Point May 3-15, with a reception at the gallery Sunday, May 3, from 4-8 PM. The museum is located at 800 Main Street and is free and open to the public Monday through Thursday, 10 AM-4 PM.
These exhibitions feature selections of student work in blown glass, painting, ceramics, drawing, printmaking, illustration, cast glass, mixed media, slumped glass, sculpture and book making.
On Friday, May 8, graduating students in two programs will exhibit their portfolios in the Noel Fine Arts Center for the public as well as employers in these fields. Interior architecture students will display their work in the upper balcony from 3-6 PM, and those in graphic design will exhibit in courtyard from 4-7 PM.
