Open House & Plant Sale Features Organic & Heirloom Varieties

Central Rivers Farmshed’s Growing Collective will host a plant sale and open House during Memorial Day weekend.
Over 3,000 vegetable and herb plant starts of organic and heirloom varieties will be available. The sale will take place in Farmshed’s newly renovated downtown greenhouses, with tours of the other spaces on the site including the kitchen and event space. Sale and open house hours are 3-7 PM on Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22, and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, May 23.
The Growing Collective is a grassroots volunteer group comprised of 30+ Farmshed members who work to raise plant starts for their own gardens, the plant sale and for school and community gardens. The Collective has grown multiple varieties of herbs and vegetables in a sustainable manner, primarily from organically- raised seed. Popular vegetables include slicing tomatoes, paste tomato varieties, cherry and pear tomatoes, summer squash, winter squash, melons, cucumbers, pumpkins, greens, broccoli, kohlrabi, cauliflower, eggplants, peppers, both hot and sweet, and 13 kinds of herbs. EBT/FoodShare cards will be accepted during the sale.
Plants will be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis.
