The Stevens Point Police Department, with the assistance from Portage County Sheriff’s Office and Plover Police Department, seized over one and a half pounds of drugs from one local residence this week.
Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at 124 Minnesota Avenue #6 in the City of Stevens Point on May 5. Investigators discovered more than a pound of marijuana, along with seven marijuana plants, as well as prescription medication, psilocybin mushrooms and drug paraphernalia.
Officers also turned up $5,300 in drug money, proceeds from selling marijuana, according to a statement from interim Assistant Chief Tony Babl.
Police took two men into custody during the raid. John T. Moua, 24 and Pail Chang, 28 both face a slew of charges for their part in the operation.
Moua faces charges of possession of schedule II medication, maintaining a drug trafficking residence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC with intent to deliver.
Chang faces charges of manufacturing THC, possession of psilocybin mushrooms and possession of schedule II medication.
