A final offer by the Stevens Point Area School District was presented to the local teacher’s union on May 6 for a retroactive wage increase to be applied to the 2012-13 school year.
The offer, which the Stevens Point Area Education Association will be discussing and possibly voting for on May 18, gives a 1.5 percent base wage increase if ratified by the SPAEA.
“The district has chosen not to move off of that number. That is our last offer,” said Florence Haley, director of human resources.
