Judges in Portage Co. have an unusual Tuesday lined up for them- three different men convicted of homicide are scheduled to be sentenced.
David P. Bronk, 64, will go before Judge John Finn at 9:30 AM to face sentencing for 2nd degree reckless homicide. Bronk was convicted in April after he provided drugs to 22-year-old Ethan Eckerson of Plover in February, 2014. Police say they found prescription medication, to include methadone, as well as a logbook of drug sales, when they searched his Dixon Street home.
Erik Olsen faces Judge Flugar at 1:30 PM. Olsen was convicted of 2nd degree reckless homicide after selling heroin to UWSP student Jordan Peterson in 2013. Peterson’s body was discovered by his roommate at his Briggs St. residence on the evening of November 17, 2013.
Convicted murderer Andrew Pray will be sentenced by Judge Thomas Flugar, also at 1:30 PM. Pray was convicted of repeatedly striking his stepfather, 77-year-old Christopher Bonnstetter, with a baseball bat as he was resting in the living room of the family’s home in Plover. Bonnstetter was removed from life support on June 3, 2014, and died shortly after. Pray was found guilty in March.
