On Thursday, July 2nd at 10 am, former Portage County Sheriff Dan Hintz appears on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 to discuss his new book, In Pursuit of Justice, Memoirs of a Small Town Sheriff.
Host Glen Moberg will ask Hintz about the many challenges he faced during his 19 years in law enforcement, including his encounters with the Posse Comitatus, described by the FBI as a “domestic terrorism” group espousing white “racial supremacy.” The program will also focus on the impact of alcohol and drugs at central Wisconsin crime scenes, and the sometimes strained relationship between police and the public.
