Text Harassment: An 18-year-old woman reported at 12:01 AM that she has been receiving harassing messages via text and social media from an ex-roommate.
Hold Your Horses…And Cows: A 50-year-old Custer man reported to police that his neighbor’s cows and horses had gotten loose on the 7500 block of 6th St. The man reported damage to his land and the animals were safely barned.
Crash: Police responded at 9:16 AM to a two vehicle crash on the 1000 block of Amber Ave. in Stevens Point between a 55-year-old Rosco, Ill., man and a 38-year-old Carol Stream, Ill., man.
Theft: A 54-year-old female reported to police at 9:45 AM that her $200 bicycle, a mint green men’s flat lander, was stolen from the 1400 block of Water St. in Stevens Point.
Counterfeit Cash: A counterfeit $20 bill was reported to have been received by the Anchor Bank on the 600 block of Division St. in Stevens Point.
Drug Stop: The traffic stop of a 29-year-old Stevens Point woman and 40-year-old Madison man led to police discovering possession of heroin paraphernalia and prescription drugs. Charges are not known at this time.
Closing Time: A 19-year-old woman called police at 2:08 AM from a bar on Cty. Rd. HH after a male suspect refused to leave the bar and was trying to start a fight. Suspect was taken home by a friend.
Craigslist Fraud: A fraudulent check from a Craigslist sale was reported to police at 1:49 PM by a 42-year-old Junction City man. The check was destroyed.
Political Vandals: A Scott Walker yard sign was reported damaged in the yard of a 65-year-old Amherst man on the 9900 block of Cty. Rd. KK.
Crash: A single vehicle crash on Hwy. 66 and Stony Rd. in Stevens Point led to a 25-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman receiving a citation for driving without a valid license and failure to notify police of an accident.
Graffiti: A 56-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 12:53 AM to report that an unknown suspect had spray painted his garage door on the 1100 block of West Pearl St.
Theft: A digital camera and power tools worth over $400 were reported stolen at 8:19 AM from a resident on the 3300 block of Orchard Ln. in Stevens Point. Suspect is a 15-year-old male.
Runaway: Police responded to a parent’s call that a their 10-year-old boy was threatening to run away, kicking, hitting and throwing rocks at 9:14 on the 4100 block of Lovers Ln. in Amherst.
Theft: A red Schwinn Ranger bicycle was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Park St. in Stevens Point at 10:47 AM by a 46-year-old male.
OWI: A 56-year-old Custer woman was charged for operating while under the influence after being pulled over at 11:21 PM for driving left of the center line Hwy. 66 and Cty. Rd. K.
Booze Burglars: Two 22-year-old men, from Stevens Point and Plover, were arrested for burglary after being caught attempting to steel alcohol from the Pfiffner building on the 400 block of Franklin St. Police also seized THC paraphernalia.
OWI: After failing to stop at a red light on Second St. and Fourth Ave., a 21-year-old Stevens Point man was pulled over and found to be under the influence. Police charged the man for both offenses at 2:46 AM.
OWI: A 22-year-old Stevens Point woman was charged with operating while under the influence after she crashed her vehicle on Frontage Rd. and Schofield Ave. at 3:55 AM.
Theft: A purse was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 300 block of West St. in Stevens Point. The 18-year-old owner said she lost $100 in cash, a phone, drivers license and social security card.
