Charles V. Deuel, age 74, of Whiting, WI, passed away from cancer on July 12, 2015 while under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice.
He was born on November 13, 1940 to the late Clyde and Edna (Charleson) Deuel in Stevens Point, WI. Charles grew up in the area, attended the local area grade schools, and attended P.J. Jacobs High School.
Charles worked various jobs before becoming employed with Worzalla Publishing. He worked there for over 37 years and retired as an offset pressman.
He married Dolores Swiander on July 31, 1965 at St Peter Catholic Church.
Charles will be remembered for his easy-going and caring persona. He was a social person who enjoyed the company of others, and was well liked by all. Charles enjoyed the company of his family, especially his grandchildren. In his younger years, Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years, he became passionate about antiquing. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycle rides, yardwork, playing drums, and cheering on the Brewers. Charles had an infectious laugh that was enjoyed by all – it made you had to laugh when he laughed.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Deuel of Whiting; children, Brian “Dewey” (Kim) Deuel of Custer and LuAnn “Peach” (Tim) Coulthurst of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Nicole Simonis, Megan Deuel, Tristin Deuel, Ashley Coulthurst, and Nicole Coulthurst; great granddaughter, Lily Coulthurst; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
A Time of Sharing Memories will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Boston Funeral Home. Friends are encouraged to join his family for a time of fellowship and lunch following the visitation.
The family would like to thank Dr. Onitilo, Dr. Lillis, the cancer care staff, and Ministry Hospice for their compassionate care.
