Theresa Landowski, age 92 of Stevens Point, was led by the Lord and Angels to ease her pain, from her sickness on July 14, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Service for Theresa will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. Dwaine Habrat will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel.
A Bible Vigil will be prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 Tuesday morning until the time of services at the Funeral Chapel.
Theresa was born March 1, 1923 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Petrick) Borchardt. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School and began working at Lullabye Furniture as a bookkeeper, where she worked for 7 years.
Theresa married Donald (Trapper) Landowski on July 3, 1048 in Stevens Point. The couple raised their family in Stevens Point and belonged to St. Peters Catholic Church. Many summers were spent at the family cottage in Minocqua on Lake Shishhebogama. Theresa loved handpicking blueberries in the Northwoods. She was famous for her blueberry pies. She enjoyed spending time at the casinos throughout WI. She enjoyed her couple of weeks in the winter vacationing in Florida with close friends. Theresa was an avid traveler, who embarked on summer and holiday trips to visit her son Dale, who lives outside the state of WI. Her homemade cooking will be missed by everyone.
Theresa is survived by her 3 sons: Ronald Landowski, Stevens Point; Douglas Landowski, Bancroft; Dale Landowski, Kennewick, WA. Her granddaughter Trina (Jason) Dorn, Stevens Point. 3 grandchildren: Alyssa, Allan, and Abby Higgins. 3 sisters: Beatrice Marquard, Plover; Gloria Klopotek, Custer; and Rosalie Ostrander, Plover. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald “Trapper” in 1998, 4 brothers: Lawrence, Robert, Raymond, and Clarence. 2 sisters: Grace Ceplina and Alice Lundgren; and her daughter-in-law Geraldine “Gerri” Landowski.
