A fugitive who had been on the lam for more than a week has been arrested in Waushara County.
Local law enforcement had spent the past week searching for Bruce Vossekuil, 34 of Almond, following a high-speed chase that began in rural Portage County. Vossekuil ran from his vehicle following that July 9 chase, kicking off an eight day search in and around the Almond area.
Vossekuil was wanted for a felony armed robbery warrant as well as a felony probation and parole warrant.
Deputies caught up with Vossekuil in a home just west of Plainfield, near highways 73 and KK, thanks to a tip from a nearby resident. Officers took Vossekuil into custody without incident at 4:34 PM on July 17.
The Portage County Special Response Team (SRT) was among several law enforcement agencies responding.
