Possible Gunshots: A 36-year-old Stevens Point called police to report he’d heard possible gunshots on the 300 block of Bliss Ave. The claims were not substantiated by police.
Crash: A 71-year-old Stevens Point woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign after causing a crash at 12:53 PM at the intersection of Stanley St. and Wilshire Blvd.
Concealed Weapons: A 19-year-old Rosholt man was arrested at 2:34 PM on Brilowski Rd. and Hwy. 10 after a traffic stop for non-registration resulted in the discovery of two loaded, concealed handguns.
Counterfeit Cash: Police were called at 3:36 PM by a bank employee after a counterfeit $10 bill was received in a deposit from the Dollar Tree store on Division St. in Stevens Point.
Laundry Looter: At 4:40 PM, a load of laundry was reported stolen from a dryer at an apartment building on the 2600 block of Indiana Ave. according to a 44-year-old Stevens Point man at the residence.
OWI: A 64-year-old Plover man was arrested for operating while under the influence after police responded to a call of suspicious activity at 10:01 PM on Illinois Ave. and Madison St. in Stevens Point.
