A 26-year-old Stevens Point man accused of selling meth to an undercover officer faces four felony drug charges.
Xeng Khang is being held in the Portage County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond on four counts of delivery of methamphetamine. If convicted, he could face up to 12 years and six months in prison.
The Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, acting on a tip alleging Khang was selling meth, used an undercover officer to make several drug buys from Xeng Khang in July and August.
According to the criminal complaint, the amount of methamphetamine that changed hands ranged from .6 grams to 2.8 grams at locations including Lake Pacawa Park and the Shopko parking lot in Plover.
Sources told police that Khang was getting the drugs from his ex-girlfriend in Wood County.
Khang appeared Monday in Portage County Circuit Court by video conference from the jail. Khang’s initial appearance was adjourned until he can obtain counsel. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 24.
