Only one of three people charged with heroin possession stemming from an October, 2014 incident made it to court on Tuesday for an initial appearance.
Erin Zurcher, 27, of Chetek, Wis., and 29-year-old Tanya Kluck and Joshua Whitley, 27, both of Stevens
Point, were charged after a parole and probation check on Whitley at a Forest Dr. address in Plover. During the home check Kluck and Zurcher were found hiding in the home, and the officer noted evidence of drug use.
According to the criminal complaint, Kluck was hiding in a bedroom under a pile of blankets and pillows on the bottom bunk in a set of bunk beds. Kluck told police she had been staying with Whitley and Zurcher at the address for two weeks. In interviews with police, the trio admitted to injected themselves with heroin.
Searching the residence, police found foil packets and a white powder that tested positive for heroin, plastic bags, a silver grinder, spoon and syringes.
Zurcher was the only one to show up in Portage County Court on Tuesday and Judge Fredrick Fleishauer ordered warrants issued for Kluck and Whitley.
Zurcher remains free on a $2,500 signature bond. She is due back in court on October 15.
