For the first time since the 2000 season, the SPASH Panthers girls’ swim team has taken the top spot in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
The Panthers share the conference title with the D.C. Everest Evergreens as both finished with 24 points. This is the first time D.C. Everest has topped the conference in school history.
The Panthers and Evergreens unseat the Wausau West Lumberjacks after their 12 year reign in the top spot.
Junior SPASH freestyle swimmer Alex Raczek was named Swimmer of the Year by the WVC coaches and SPASH swim coach Daylyn Hopp was named Coach of the Year along with D.C. Everest’s Melissa Springer.
