The SPASH boys basketball team remains undefeated after their 81-43 win over D.C. Everest at the SPASH Fieldhouse Tuesday night.
The Panthers led 12-10 at the 11:35 mark of the first half before going on an 11-0 run over the next four minutes. SPASH increased that margin to lead 42-23 at the half.
The second half belonged to SPASH and senior Trev Anderson who finished with a game high 23 points including four 3-pointers. Anderson, who started the game with 1,979 career points, drove the lane, hit the layup and a free throw at 3:09 of the half to put him over the 2,000 point total for his career.
SPASH was led in scoring by Anderson (23) and Sam Hauser with 22 points. Sophomore Guard Drew Blair poured in 15, all from beyond the three-point arc. Joey Hauser (7), Joe Fasula (6), Jamison Kryshak (6) and Ted Kearney (2) rounded out the Panther scoring.
Riley Petersen hit 11 points and Jacob Gebert added 10 to lead the Evergreen attack.
The SPASH Junior Varsity dropped a 42-35 decision to the Evergreens. Spencer Tyson led the Panther JVs with 12 points.
The Panthers improved their record to 5-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference and play host to Wausau East (4-1) on Friday, Jan. 22. Tip off at the SPASH Fieldhouse is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
