Following a second place finish at the nine team Manitowoc Lincoln High School Invitational on Saturday, January 16, the SPASH boys swim team returned home to face Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual on Thursday.
SPASH entered the meet with a 6-0 conference record and treated the Parents Night crowd to a 108-61 win- including first place in all 11 varsity events.
Senior Ben Harris took first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.87) and the 100-yard butterfly (58.39). Harris was also a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay, which also included Dan Hess, Hunter Shulfer, and Zach Dahlseng, finishing at 1:49.
Dahlseng, Jonathon Tolbert and Jared Larson Harris teamed up to win the 400-yard freestyle relay with a winning time of 3:52.38.
Dahlseng also finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.47) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:19.45), with Hunter Shulfer taking the 100-yard (52.75) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.61).
Rounding out the first-place finishes for SPASH were Jared Larson in the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.68) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.34), as well as the 200-yard freestyle relay with Dan Hess, Aaron Kane, Jared Kort and Hunter Shulfer with a time of 1:42.99.
SPASH travels to D.C. Everest for a 5:30 meet on Thursday, Jan. 28.
