Richard Luke Laszewski, age 79 died unexpectedly February 7, 2016.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13 at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3600 Northpoint Drive, Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
He was the first of 6 children born to Luke and Bertha (Cisewski) Laszewski. When he was 7 years old he started working along with his family in their implement business and he realized his love of engines of all kinds especially Allis Chalmers “G” tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Shirley (Gullikson) Laszewski. Together they raised three fantastic children Debby (Randy) Lee, Danny (Nancie) Laszewski, Troy (Heidi) Laszewski. Richard was blessed to have four Grandchildren, Lincoln (Jenny) Lee, Lanna (Aaron) Warren, Alexis and Connor Laszewski.
He was a witty humorous man who deeply loved his family, but most of all a spiritual man who enjoyed volunteering his time encouraging others with the Bibles hope of a secure future. His love of Jehovah God motivated him to volunteer on many building projects throughout Wisconsin.
He worked at the Ford Garage in Stevens Point, family potato farm, and then he started a Mighty Auto Parts Franchise with his son Danny, and after “retirement” he drove for the Stevens Point School district for 15 years maintaining a perfect driving record.
Your wish came true the lights went out in Plover. We love you, we miss you and we will see you again Dad!
