A new bank has opened in the Portage Co. Business Park.
Members of the Plover Area Business Association/PABA Backers and Board of Directors joined with local management and staff of the Investors Community Bank (ICB) for a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning, honoring the recent opening of ICB’s new location at 5517 Vern Holmes Drive in Stevens Point.
Wayne Mueller, ICB Director and one of the bank’s co-founders, welcomed all in attendance and thanked everyone for the ‘local’ welcome.
“The word that comes to mind today is ‘local’,” said Mueller. “Our employees all live local; we’re proud of this beautiful new building that was built by local contractor and local artisans provided skilled workmanship to prepare this banking work space for our local ICB customers. We now want everyone to consider Investors Community Bank as their local bank.”
Mueller joined Kathy Richardson, banking services manager, in the ribbon cutting ritual honoring the new business location.
First opening in the Stevens Point/Plover area in 2010, ICB has been leasing space until developing the new facility to accommodate their new business growth and prepare for future business expansion. ICB has a long history of agricultural and business banking with branch offices in Manitowoc and Stevens Point with loan production facilities in Eau Claire, Darlington, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac. A pending merger with The Business Bank will add Green Bay and Appleton banking centers into the ICB family as the bank bolsters its geographic base.
The 13,000-square-foot structure located just north of Plover’s Crossroads Commons is a design/build project that incorporates natural materials such as metal, wood and stone to symbolize the influence on the agricultural sector as well as the bank’s longevity and financial strength. The new bank offices have incorporated lean design and construction principles that highlight energy efficiency and natural lighting.
The Plover Area Business Association (PABA) consists of over 150 area business members, whose alliance as a local chamber of commerce/business partner is dedicated to “foster and advance the business and community interests throughout the greater Plover Area”.
