Margaret was born in 1926 in the Town of Hull, Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Frank and Constance (Pogorzelski) Rice. Margaret was the youngest of 16 children. When Margaret was born, her mother died during the childbirth.
After she was born, she was adopted by Anna (Gollonik) Gollon and Victor Gollon with Margaret being their only child. Her step-mother, Anna died when Margaret was 12 years old and she was raised by her step-father, Victor whom she was very close too. Margaret assisted on the farm doing chores, making meals and helping others. Victor lived with Margaret and Chester until his death. Margaret provided care-taking services for Victor during his illness prior to his death.
Marge attended St.Casimir’s Catholic School. Her marriage to Chester H. Buza took place on October 12, 1946, at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church and Chester died on August 27, 2000. Margaret worked as a care giver to people in their homes for several years. For many years Margaret was the head cook for church picnics and other church functions. She worked at the University-Saga Foods for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking for family events and also made dishes when she went to visit families.
Margaret was a very caring, loving individual with a sense of humor that always made us laugh. She was eager to prepare special goodies for people, enjoyed visiting with them, and/or took care of them when they were injured. Family was very important to her and she always was there to listen and give advice. She loved being at home and was happy working in her flowerbeds and/or playing with her pet dogs with the latest dog named Coco. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary Furo-DeMeyer, Stevens Point and Janet (John Jr.) Laskowski, Stevens Point. Grandchildren; David (Tracie) Pagel, Michelle (Clint) Lindsey, William Pagel, Shawn (Kristen) Pagel, Chad Laskowski.
