Distracted Driver: A 20-year-old woman was warned for texting while driving at 1:43 PM on the 1200 block of Badger Avenue.
Unruly Student: Police were called to an elementary school on Maria Dr. after a 45-year-old man reported a disorderly student at 9:30 AM.
Mysterious Footprints: A 41-year-old woman reported at 9:49 AM seeing footprints in the snow near her windows on Simonis St. twice in the past two weeks.
Counterfeit Money: Police were called to Arby’s, 5701 Windy Dr., at 5:41 PM after a reported counterfeit bill was used to pay for food.
OWI: Police arrested a 31-year-old man for his second offense of OWI after he failed to yield at a yellow traffic signal near Michigan Ave. and Clark St. at 1:21 AM. The man was jailed on a probation hold.
OWI: Deputies arrested and cited a 47-year-old man for operating while intoxicated with a positive alcohol content of more than .15 percent near County trunks B and D at 4:25 PM.
Shoplifting: A 19-year-old man was cited for theft at 12:06 PM after trying to leave the downtown location of Shopko, 1200 Main St., without paying for several items. Among the items recovered by police were a bottle of MIO water flavoring, a can of Monster Energy Drink, and a box of Cheez-It’s. Estimated value of the items totaled less than $12.
Crash: A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 54 and 90th St. at 9:42 AM. A 48-year-old man was cited for failing to signal his turn. No injuries were reported.
Theft: A caller reported $30 was stolen from an 84-year-old man from a residence on the 1800 block of Lilac Ln. at 12:38 PM.
Harassment: A 50-year-old woman called deputies to report she’d been receiving threats from a 54-year-old woman at 2:46 PM. The women were advised to avoid each other.
Discarded Ankle Bracelet: A maintenance employee reported finding an ankle monitoring device in a garage on the 1000 block of Main St. at 19:31 PM. The device is valued at $800.
Threats: A 23-year-old woman called police to report she suspects a 21-year-old woman, whose number had been blocked, continued to call her. The 23-year-old also told police a suspicious van had been near her home.
Broken Key: Deputies stopped to assist a 24-year-old man near Lorry St. and County Tk. B. The man said he’d broken his key off in the ignition. He was cited for operating after suspension at 3:13 AM.
Wood Thief: A 71-year-old man called deputies to report he suspected a 39-year-old neighbor on 10th St. had stolen wood from his property at 11:06 AM.
OWI: Police arrested a 23-year-old man for his first OWI offense during a traffic stop near Second St. and Washington Ave. at 1:43 AM.
Tokin’ Trouble: Police responded to a loud noise complaint at a home on the 1700 block of College Ave. at 2:34 AM. While there, police cited two male residents, both 22, for possession of three grams of marijuana.
Passed Out Partier: Police were called to a tavern on the 800 block of Main St. after a caller reported a 23-year-old man had passed out in the bathroom. The man was later given a ride home by friends.
Bank Fraud: A 47-year-old man reported to police at 9:04 AM someone had used his bank account to cash a check.
Keyed Off: A 23-year-old woman called police at 9:06 AM to report two other women, 18 and 21, came to her home on Torun Rd. to key her vehicle.
OWI: Police cited a 26-year-old man for operating under the influence during a traffic stop near Channel Dr. and Heffron St. at 3:09 PM. The man had been driving without properly displayed registration stickers, and police found at least one pill bottle container without a label.
Theft: A 31-year-old man reported someone had stolen several items from his Monroe St. apartment at 10 AM. Among the items taken were $40 in cash, an engraved Milwaukee Brewer’s watch, an engraved New England Patriots watch, a white MP3 player and a battery pack. Value of the loss is estimated at $360.
Party Poopers: Police responded to a home on the 2300 block of Clark St. at 12:48 AM after a report of a loud party and a fight outside the home. Two people, an 18-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, were cited.
OWI: Police arrested a 40-year-old man for first offense OWI, and cited him for operating without a valid license and operating left of center, during a traffic stop near Clark St. and Wyatt Ave. at 2:45 AM.
Suspicious Sniffing: A 32-year-old woman called deputies at 2:21 PM to a home on Park Ridge Dr. after she thought she saw a woman sniffing something while walking down the road. Deputies determined the woman was vision-impaired and only looking “very closely” at her cell phone.
Car Problems: Deputies stopped a 38-year-old woman for failure to obey a traffic signal near Plover Rd. and Iber Ln. at 12:20 AM. The woman was warned for the traffic violation, as well as not having an operable horn or working wiper blades.
