The SPASH Counseling Office and Career Center will host the ninth annual Post-Secondary Night at SPASH Wednesday, March 9th from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
The evening’s events are geared to all 7th-12th graders and their parents. Counselors, teachers and area business owners will feature exhibits and presentations designed to assist students in learning more about programs of study, apprenticeships, financial aid, military options and more.
Nearly 80 exhibitors and presenters are expected to be on hand including colleges and universities, branches of the military, and area businesses.
Attendees can meet with college and university representatives to ask questions about admissions requirements, learn about campus life, various popular and unique majors offered and the cost of admission and possible scholarships available.
“Post-Secondary Night is an opportunity for all students to explore options to pursue following high school,” explained PSN coordinator Jenessa Reid. “There will be a wide variety of four-year colleges and universities, technical colleges, military representatives, apprenticeship representatives, and area business representatives for students to meet and obtain information regarding opportunities. The purpose is to provide information to students about post secondary options but also to give families the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about options they might not have previously know about.”
The event is free to attend.
