Everett E. Eppers, age 98, formerly of Marshfield and Stevens Point, died on March 6, 2016, at Brookdale Senior Living in Appleton.
Everett was born on September 9, 1917 in Stanley WI. He was the second oldest of 15 children, son of the late Jacob and Carrie (Dresdow) Eppers. Everett spent his childhood years in Stanley.
His marriage to Sally Ocjieck took place on October 8, 1938. They lived in the Owen/Withee area and farmed in Clark County. Later the couple moved to Marshfield and eventually Stevens Point. During their 51 years of marriage, they were involved with their church, United Commercial Travelers. His wife Sally died in 1990. Everett stayed in Stevens Point. He bowled on a men’s league for many years. He also enjoyed fishing with his good friend, Rhode. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1170
His marriage to Martha Slowinski took place on February 13, 1994, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, they had six years of happiness and companionship before she died on March 15, 2000.
Everett is survived by his four children, Mary Braunsky of Marshfield, Carol Meyerowitz of Mesa Arizona, Virginia (Mickey) Bell of Appleton and Robert (Jan) Eppers of The Villages Florida. Also surviving are sisters, Hazel Karner and Millie Burns and brothers, Kenneth Eppers and Jack Eppers. Nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 16, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
