SPASH sophomore Roshini Traynor, 15, with her 14-year-old brother Dinesh Traynor, play the violin for about 40 local residents at Bliss Educational Services Center on Tuesday.
Roshini Traynor also plays the viola; Dinesh Traynor, an eighth grader at Ben Franklin Jr. High, also plays the cello. Both began playing the violin around the age of three.
The duo played a series of classical pieces as members of the community, along with district employees and school board candidates, mingled with the two finalists for school superintendent.
Larry Ouimette, superintendent of Lac du Flambeau schools, and Craig Gerlach, superintendent of the Jefferson School District, are the two finalists of 23 applicants for the seat.
Tuesday was an opportunity to meet with the finalists and ask questions, both as a group and individually. Public feedback was taken by School Board Secretary Susan Kudronowicz and Sarah O’Donnell, director of communications for the district.
The school board is expected to decide which finalist will be offered the job on Monday, April 4.
