A Stevens Point man is facing multiple felonies, and up to a combined 94 years imprisonment if convicted of all charges.
Antonia Saenz is charged with two counts of second degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16, a felony with a maximum sentence of up to a $100,000 fine, or up to 40 years imprisonment or both for each charge if convicted.
He is also charged with two counts of exposing his genitals to a child, another felony with a maximum sentence of up to a $10,000 fine, or three years and six months imprisonment or both. Two counts of intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child have also been charged against Saenz.
Saenz remains in custody and was absent from his adjourned initial appearance in Portage County Circuit Court on April 25.
According to the criminal complaint, a report was filed in November, 2014 that alleged Saenz had multiple illegal interactions with two girls, 14- and 15-years old, sometime over that summer.
The complaint includes allegations Saenz touched the girls’ buttocks and breasts on multiple occasions. He is also accused of telling the girls he wanted to have sexual intercourse with them, masturbating in front of them on and exposing himself to them multiple times.
The complaint also alleged that the two victims would often visit Saenz during which times he would by them alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana and imbibe the substances with them. A Facebook conversation between the defendant and a victim showed Saenz encouraging the victims to come to his home and smoke marijuana as well as engaging in sexual activity.
Saenz also reportedly encouraged the victims to go “car shopping” with him during which they would search for unlocked cars and steal the contents.
When asked about his alleged behavior, Saenz admitted to buying the victims cigarettes but not alcohol and denied all other alleged illegal activity saying he was “not that way.”
Saenz is currently held on a $10,000 cash bond.
He returns to court on May 2 at 3:00 PM for a preliminary hearing.
