Brian J. Rasmussen, 60, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
He was born on March 2, 1956, in Janesville, Wisconsin, to the late Joseph and Bette Jane (Kuzenski) Rasmussen. On Aug. 2, 1975, he was married to Kimberly Campbell in Janesville.
Brian was a heavy equipment foreman for Graber Excavating in Auburn, Ind. He had been a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and he played eight different musical instruments by ear. Brian loved God, was an insightful, wise individual putting others first; he was a practical joker and loved his family. He never gave up, after many years of disability.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly of Fort Wayne; daughter, Tressica (Jason) Hulburt of Lansing, Michigan; son, Nicholas (Stacy) Rasmussen of Arizona; grandchildren, Connor, Liam, Hannah-Marie, Quinn and Keira McDowell, Ashton and Aidan Rasmussen, and Ellen, Hannah and Ethan Hulburt; sisters, Dawn (Steve) Henning and Denice (Benny) Johnston both of Janesville; and mother-in-law, Marie Campbell of Stevens Point. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Rasmussen; nephew, Terry Sommers; and father-in-law, Ratha “Lester” Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Janesville with final interment in Canada.
