OWI: Police arrested a 49-year-old man for operating under the influence and failure to stop at a flashing red signal at 2:01 AM at Second St. and Fourth Avenue.
Suspicious: A 54-year-old woman called police to report a suspicious person in her neighborhood at 2:34 PM near the intersection of Briggs and Division streets.
Flying Furniture: Deputies responded to a minor vehicle accident caused by furniture falling off a vehicle at 5:03 PM near mile marker 163 on I-39.
Daytime Drunk Driver: Deputies arrested a 55-year-old woman for driving while intoxicated near County Trunk R and Commons Cir. at 6:26 PM. She was also cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to wear a seat belt and hit and run.
Back Off: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident near Main St. and Country Club Dr. at 3:11 PM. A 30-year-old woman was cited for following too closely.
Underage Drinker: Police arrested a 20-year-old man at 2:20 AM for underage drinking near the corner of Main and Second streets. The man was also cited for littering and having an open intoxicant in a public street.
Pet Thief: A 51-year-old woman called police to report her dog was missing at 11:04 AM. The woman told police she’d last seen her dog in the possession of an individual known to her.
Trespassing: A 20-year-old woman reported to deputies that a 55-year-old man come on to her property and took the title to a vehicle without her permission at 1:05 PM.
Drunk Driver: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Main St. and Michigan Ave. at 7:04 PM. One driver, a 54-year-old man, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The 22-year-old male victim was uninjured.
Possible Drug Activity: Deputies were called to Elizabeth Inn, 5246 Harding Ave., after a caller reported suspected drug activity on the premises at 11:08 PM. No further activity was reported.
Drink Driver: A 22-year-old man was arrested for operating under the influence during a traffic stop on the 800 block of County Hwy. HH at 1:38 AM. The man was also cited for speeding at least 25 mph over the speed limit.
Unruly Driver: A 24-year-old man received citations for operating after suspension, displaying a false vehicle registration plate, operating without insurance and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle at 1:16 PM after being pulled over on the 1400 block of Torun Road.
Three-Time OWI’er: A 33-year-old woman was arrested near Patch St. and Sunset Blvd. at 2:20 AM for her third OWI offense. She was also cited for deviating from her lane of traffic.
Grocery Thief: An employee at Trigs, 1600 Academy Ave., reported at 10:30 AM, an unknown woman with gray hair and glasses left the store with with a cart full of groceries without paying.
Theft: A 37-year-old man reported someone had stolen several tools her his Dixon St. garage. Among the items taken were a reciprocation saw, an impact driver, power drill, several batteries and chargers and various tool bits. Estimated value of the loss is $600.
Property Damage: A 46-year-old man called police at 8:30 AM to report $4,000 worth of damage to a brick pizza oven he had mounted to a truck on the 400 block of Franklin Street.
Stolen Ducks: An 81-year-old man called deputies at 5:48 PM to report someone had let his sheep out of their pen and stole baby ducks at his Bobby’s Lane home.
OWI, Fourth Offense: A 67-year-old man was arrested for his fourth OWI offense at 7:40 PM on the 5300 block of Harding Avenue. The man was also cited for having an open intoxicant in his vehicle and operating with a positive blood alcohol content.
Fire Alarm: Deputies and fire crews responded to a fire alarm on the 2300 block of Willard St. at 6:32 AM. The call turned out to be a false alarm; a 94-year-old man there had burned his breakfast.
