A Stevens Point man faces up to 94 years behind bars after allegedly assaulting two girls, 14 and 15, in November of 2014.
Antonia Saenz, 49, will appear in Branch II of Portage Co. Circuit Court for his pre-trial conference before Judge Shannon on July 25.
Saenz has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16, a felony with a maximum sentence of up to a $100,000 fine, up to 40 years imprisonment or both for each charge if convicted.
He is also charged with two counts of exposing his genitals to a child, another felony with a maximum sentence of up to a $10,000 fine, three years and six months imprisonment or both. Two counts of intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child have also been charged against Saenz.
According to the criminal complaint, Saenz touched the girls’ buttocks and breasts on multiple occasions. He is also accused of telling the girls he wanted to have sexual intercourse with them, masturbating in front of them and exposing himself to them multiple times.
The complaint also alleged that the two victims would often visit Saenz during which times he would by them alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana and imbibe the substances with them. Detectives obtained a Facebook conversation between the defendant and a victim which showed Saenz encouraging the victims to come to his home and smoke marijuana as well as engaging in sexual activity.
Saenz also reportedly encouraged the victims to go “car shopping” with him during which they would search for unlocked cars and steal the contents, according to the complaint.
When asked about his alleged behavior, Saenz admitted to buying the victims cigarettes but not alcohol; he also denied any of the other allegations against him, telling police he was “not that way.”
Saenz remains in custody on a $10,000 cash bond.
