CREATE Portage County is now in the running for grant funds which would bring a 10-12 week live summer music series to the bandshell at Pfiffner Pioneer Park.
The grant is sponsored by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national foundation dedicated to “strengthening the social fabric of America through free live music”, according to a news release from CREATE. Winners are determined by a public voting process.
CREATE, formerly Portage Co. Arts Alliance, hopes to qualify as one of 15 winning organizations. The CREATE proposal for Pfiffner is one of two in Wisconsin.
Voting ends Nov. 21 at 5 PM. Winners will be announced in January.
