Out of Control: Police arrested a 23-year-old man for failure to keep his vehicle under control, operating after suspension, and operating without insurance at 11:52 AM.
Better Prices: A 20 year-old-man was arrested at Fleet Farm for altering prices for several items at the store including a Mossy Oak key chain, solar powered backup battery, USB charging cable, a pocket knife, Bluetooth receiver adapter, a dual core seven-inch high definition touch screen tablet and a Bodygaurd battery backup with alarm at 2:45 PM.
Plow Truck Theft: A complaint was made at 1:00 PM by an employee stating his plow truck was stolen during this weekend’s snowstorm on the 2300 block of Gilkey St.
Excessive Noise: A complaint of loud music and fireworks from three 20-year-olds was reported on 1700 block of Maria Dr. at 1:24 AM.
Burglary: A 37-year-old man called in to report a burglary at his house on the 1300 block of Second St. at 2:15 AM. Stolen items include; a black Columbia coat, house keys and a hard-case wallet along with his debit card.
Bit the Hand That Feeds Him: A 68-year-old woman called police to report she was bitten by her own dog at 4:09 AM. The dog was later transferred to the Humane Society.
Squad Car Bruised: A 54-year-old man collided with an officer’s squad car at 8:50 AM at the intersection of Main St. and Michigan Ave.
Parking Backwards: A 67-year-old man was arrested for his fourth OWI and operating after suspension. The man was stopped and questioned after the officer noticed the car was parked the wrong way in traffic on Maria Dr. at 5:11 PM.
Cow On The Run: Several witnesses reported a cow on the loose on County Trunk W at 8:42 AM. Witnesses said the cow was wandering aimlessly without any owner immediately found.
For Some Reason, It Happens Every Year: Over 90 traffic accidents and slide-ins around the Stevens Point Area this weekend were reported due to heavy snowfall, slick roads and drifting.
