Superintendent Craig Gerlach (right) leans out the window of his Polk St. office on Feb. 13 to watch students practice cross-country skiing as part of their physical education class.
The class were utilizing large drifts of snow just outside Gerlach’s window.
The students were from Ben Franklin Jr. High, which is just next door to Bliss Educational Services Center, where Gerlach’s office is located.
“That was unexpected,” Gerlach said. “But a nice view.”
