Frances E. Clark, age 79, of Stevens Point, died February 12, 2017 at Sylvan Crossings.
Fran was born April 13, 1937 to the late Victor and Gladys (McGinley) Moreland in Dodge Center, Minn. She grew up there, attended the local grade school and high school.
She waitressed for several years until marrying. Fran married James Clark on October 26, 1957 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn. and decided to dedicate her life to raising a family. They later settled in the Stevens Point area where she found work at the IGA Grocery in the deli-bakery department. Fran transferred to the Copps grocery store until retiring.
Fran will be remembered for her love of family, social nature, her sass and sense of humor. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Faith was important to her and she enjoyed volunteering at her church and the parish school. Fran also enjoyed testing her luck on the Sizzling 7’s with friends, especially her “twisted sister”. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, cheering on the Packers, music, dancing, and eating out, especially for jumbo shrimp. Her big heart was reflected by her welcoming open door and pot of fresh coffee.
