Dolores N. Miller, age 95, originally of Milwaukee, went to sleep in death on Feb. 22, 2017 at Atrium Health Care Center in Stevens Point.
She was born June 26, 1921, the oldest daughter of Alfred & Irma (Bischoff) Schultz, in Milwaukee, Wis. She went to schools in Milwaukee and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper after graduating in 1939. She took one year of advanced training at a vocational school in Milwaukee. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests including sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, singing in choirs, bowling, monthly card clubs, and various guilds and groups at Mt. Tabor Church.
She married Milton H. Miller on August 12, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1993. They had four children. In 1988 they moved to West Bend, Wis. In 2015 she moved to Stevens Point to be closer to her family.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Karen (Tom) Schraufnagel, Plover; Marlene (Glenn) Steinbach, Colfax, Wis.; and Robert (Tena) Miller, New Hope, Minn. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren: David (Debbie) Schraufnagel, Gene (Raphaela) Schraufnagel, James (Kristi) Schraufnagel, Scott (Lupita) Schraufnagel, Lynn (Brian) Lahti, Christopher Steinbach, Kirstin (Brenden) Mills, Joanna (Mike) Polley, Reuben Miller, Caleb Miller, Seth Miller, and Levi Miller; two great-grandchildren, Clara and Maible Mills. Sisters, Shirley Kroh and Charlotte Leque; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Thomas; and two sisters, LaVerne Lewis and Janice Oberdank.
A time of remembrance and sharing of memories will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM on Thurs., March 2, 2017 at Boston Funeral Home. Public Memorial Service will be held Fri., March 3, 2017 at 11 AM at Immanuel United Church of Christ, West Bend. A luncheon will follow at the church.
Burial will be held in Valhalla Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wis. Online condolences may be made at www.bostonfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Community, West Bend.
