Plover police on Friday will spend the day stuck on a roof.
The department will hold its fifth annual “Cops on a Rooftop” fundraiser on Aug. 11, with proceeds to benefit Special Olympics.
From 6 to 11 AM, officers from PPD will be at Dunkin’ Donuts, 3005 Village Park Dr., taking donations for the nonprofit organization. The event also includes a raffle and prizes.
Because the building has a pitched roof and is unsafe for sitting, officers will sit the day out on a scissor lift.
The fundraiser is held at Dunkin’ Donuts locations throughout the state, and it designed to also raise awareness for Special Olympics Wisconsin.
