No License to Drive: A 26-year-old woman was cited for driving without a license following a two-vehicle crash near Main and Phillips streets at 11:51 PM. No injuries were reported.
Drunk Driver: A 34-year-old woman was arrested for OWI after a crash near Maria Dr. and Division St. at 6:23 PM.
Bad Driver: A 36-year-old man was cited for unsafe backing of vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident and hit & run following a crash on the 100 block of Main St. in Rosholt at 11:04 PM.
Red Means Stop: A 45-year-old man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and failure to stop for a flashing red signal at Second St. and Fourth Ave. at 1:15 AM.
What a Dope: Three 18-year-old men were cited for marijuana possession near Hwy. 10 and Badger Ave. at 7:34 PM after Portage Co. K-9 Lady indicated the presence of drugs during a traffic stop.
Leaf the Tree Alone: A 56-year-old woman called police at 2:52 AM to report someone intentionally broke a branch from a tree in front of her front yard on the 1600 block of Ellis St.
Not Very Bright: A 40-year-old man was arrested on charges of operating after suspension, OWI, operating with a positive blood alcohol content and speeding near Michigan and College avenues at 10:35 AM.
Polite Crash Suspect: A 70-year-old woman called police to request a stop sign be replaced near Texas Ave. and Jefferson St. after she crashed into the sign at 11:35 PM. The woman was cited for inattentive driving.
Not-So-Happy-Trails: A 34-year-old man called police at 11:30 AM to report someone had stolen a trailer belonging to his father, 64, from the 2700 block of Fourth Ave.
Drunk Brothers: Police responded to a home on the 2900 block of Lindbergh Ave. at 4:07 PM after a caller reported a disturbance there. The two men, 56 and 51, were reportedly “too inebriated to make decisions” and were separated for the night.
Stolen Jeep: A 41-year-old man called police at 11 AM to report someone stole his girlfriend’s Jeep Liberty from the 600 block of Division St.
A Whole Slew of Problems: Police were called to a residence on the 700 block of John’s Dr. at 9:30 PM after a 23-year-old woman reported two people, a 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old man, were “pounding and kicking” on her apartment door. Both suspects were arrested on multiple bail-jumping charges.
OWI: Police arrested a 30-year-old woman for drunk driving after she was seen driving down Clark St. without her lights on at 2:15 AM.
Repeat Tree Offender: A 56-year-old woman called police at 2:30 AM to report someone vandalized a tree in her front yard. The same woman called police the night before to report someone had intentionally broken a branch on a tree in front of her home.
Bad Boy: A 26-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, possession of THC/second offense, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 100 block of Minnesota Ave. at 10:16 AM.
You Really Need a Cop for This? A caller summoned police at 6:12 PM to report two boys, 12 and 13, were playing football and got into a physical altercation on the 2200 block of Dixon St.
Fire: Police were called to a residence on the 700 block of John’s Dr. at 8:51 PM after someone reported a burning permit violation.
Wrong Way Fella: A 20-year-old man was arrested for OWI after he was seen driving the wrong way down Clark St. at 1:55 AM.
A Different Kind of Drone Strike: A 57-year-old man called police at 3:26 PM to report a drone landed in his yard on the 900 block of Franklin St. The man agreed to drop the device off at the police station.
Jump-Start on Truancy: Police cited a 12-year-old child for truancy at 8:30 AM.
Mailbox Fatality: A 20-year-old man reported someone damaged the mailbox in front of his home on the 1900 block of Briggs St. at 2:16 PM.
Big Trouble: Police arrested a 37-year-old man on multiple bail-jumping charges, as well as charges of theft from a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating after suspension, and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle while he was driving. The man was stopped by police in the parking lot of a movie theater on the 2700 block of Church St. at 8:22 PM after multiple callers reported their vehicles were broken into during a movie.
