OWI Crash: A 28-year-old Stevens Point man was cited for hit-and-run of property adjacent to a highway, failure to keep his vehicle under control and OWI on the 2600 block of Ellis St. at 7:53 AM.
Courthouse Clash: Officers reported to the Portage County Courthouse in response to a disturbance between a 58-year-old Amherst man and 32-year-old woman at 8:57 AM. No citations were issued.
Officer Impression: Police responded to the Plover Dunkin’ Donuts after receiving reports of a possible suspect impersonating an officer at 1:47 PM. Officers report the suspected 45-year-old Stevens Point man was not impersonating an officer.
Suspected Slasher: Police were called at 3:56 PM by a 23-year-old Stevens Point woman who reported an unknown suspect had slashed the front, right tire of her vehicle parked on the 1400 block of Sixth Ave.
Strangulation and Suffocation: Police arrested a 28-year-old Stevens Point man for strangulation and suffocation, battery and a probation violation on the 3100 block of Marthas Ln. at 7:30 PM. The victim is a 32-year-old Stevens Point woman.
Stalking: Extra patrols were sent to the 1200 block of Portage St. at 7:32 PM after a 27-year-old Stevens Point woman reported suspected stalking by a 66-year-old Custer man. No incidents were reported.
OWI: Police cited a 51-year-old Renton, Wash., woman with OWI, unsafe lane deviation and failure to obey a traffic signal on Water and Arlington St. at 9:53 PM.
Twilight Trespassers: A 46-year-old Stevens Point man reported two men trespassing on his property on the 1700 block of Robin Ln. at 10:27 PM. The 21- and 26-year-old Rudolph men said they were coon hunting and were given a warning.
