STEVENS POINT — A local downtown business is making waves for their holiday donation campaign.
Bria Bella & Co. has announced their holiday “Gift Back” campaign, which seeks to help those in need this holiday season. Partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the program will collect donations of all sorts, from non-perishable food items to monetary donations.
“I’m very passionate about helping others and I truly believe our community members, (and all of us) genuinely want to do good,” said Bria Bella & Co. owner Tara Manzke. “We all want to feel like we make a difference and we all want to be a part of a movement.”
Such a movement will hope to spawn more like-campaigns and efforts of downtown Stevens Point businesses in the name of holiday giving. In addition to collecting items for donation, Bria Bella & Co. will also sell their bath soak ornaments and ornament gifts with a portion of the proceeds going to the purchase of toys for 15 children as a part of Muzzy Broadcasting’s annual “Christmas is for Children” mission.
“It makes us all feel good when we are doing good deeds for the benefit of others,” said Manzke. “That’s why I’m hoping to get the community to come together in effort to extend an opportunity for all of us to make a difference this year. I could just do it myself as a business owner, but I believe It brings a much deeper meaning when multiple people rally around something for the good of others.”
Items needed include:
Non-perishable food items
Hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, etc)
Books for all ages
Monetary and gas or grocery card donations welcome
