STEVENS POINT — The Green Circle Board was honored on Jan. 10 to receive a $13,000 grant from the Stevens Point Area Tourism Development Committee.
This generous funding will be used as part of an exciting trailhead project to be constructed at Schmeeckle Reserve in 2018, which includes an open-air shelter and all-season restroom building. Jim Canales, current Green Circle Board president, and Nick Schultz, former president, received the grant check from Sara Brish, executive director of the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
“A special thank you to Pete Theisen, SPACVB Board Chair, and Noall Silvester, SPACVB Board Member and Tourism Development Committee Member, for attending the check presentation ceremony and seeing the value of this project for tourism in Stevens Point.”
