PLOVER — Throughout the week young children visit the Portage County Public Library with their parents and caregivers to sing, dance, play, and listen to stories. In order to reach a broader audience, the Plover Libraries have now added monthly themed Saturday events.
“Saturday morning is a great time for families to spend time together at the library,” said Laura Fuller, Head Librarian in Plover. “The Saturday events utilize stories and science, motion and play to help young children build their language and communication skills while having fun.”
Programs are held on the third Saturday of each month. The next program will be Bubble Bonanza on February 17 at 10:30am. Children will learn about bubbles and partake in experiments. The March event, Kiddo-Olympics will take place on March 17.
The Portage County Public Library has branches in Stevens Point, Plover, Rosholt, and Almond. Storytime is held each week at all sites. All library activities are free of charge and open to the public. Contact the Plover Library at 715-346- 4007 or visit pocolibrary.org to learn more.
